Moving around Edmonton

We move here every day — the streets don’t catch us out

Edmonton isn’t a car park with wide drives. It’s terraces, flats above shops and estates on roads that were never built for a removals lorry. That’s exactly the ground we work on, so the tricky bits are planned, not improvised.

The result: fewer surprises, no half-day lost to a blocked road, and a crew that already knows the difference between a Fore Street walk-up and a ground-floor terrace off Silver Street.

See how we handle small moves
  • Narrow terraces, tight parking

The streets off Hertford Road and around Fore Street were built long before two cars per house. We check access first, get the lorry as close as the road allows, and carry the rest rather than block the road.

  • Flats above the shops

A huge share of Edmonton homes sit above the parades on Fore Street and Silver Street — stairs, no lift, a busy pavement below. Stair carries are routine for us, not a surprise sprung on the day.

  • Estate and walk-up moves

Post-war estates and purpose-built blocks often mean a longer carry from where the van can park to the front door. We plan that distance in, so it’s priced and timed honestly.

  • The A10 and North Circular

Everything here feeds off the A10 (Great Cambridge Road) and the A406. We know when they crawl and when they don’t, and we time loading and runs to avoid losing half a day in traffic.

  • Red routes and loading windows

Parts of Fore Street and the main roads are red routes where you can’t just pull up. Where that’s the case we arrange a proper loading window rather than risk a ticket or a tow.

  • Right on the edge of everywhere

Edmonton sits against Tottenham, Ponders End, Enfield and Walthamstow. Plenty of local moves cross those borders, and we run them all day without treating a mile up the road like a long haul.

How international moves work
In their words

Edmonton moves, from the people who booked them

Two lads, a van, done by lunchtime. I only had a bedroom’s worth going from Edmonton Green to a flat in N18 and they didn’t make me feel daft for booking a small job. Careful with the wardrobe on the stairs, which is more than the last lot managed.
Marcia H. Man & van, Edmonton Green (N9) → Upper Edmonton (N18)
We were dreading the flat above the shop on Fore Street — no lift, narrow stairs, cars everywhere. They turned up, sorted the parking, and just got on with it. Nothing bumped, nothing lost. Honestly the smoothest bit of the whole move.
The Yılmaz family Two-bed flat above a shop, Fore Street (N18)
Cleared and moved my mum’s house on the Hertford Road terraces. They were patient, packed the china properly, and shifted a piano that I was sure wouldn’t come down the stairs. Kind with it too, which mattered that week.
Dawn P. Full house clearance & move, Lower Edmonton (N9)
Office move for our unit near Angel Edmonton, done over a weekend so we opened Monday as normal. Desks, computers, the lot, labelled and back in place. No fuss and a fair price for the work.

Good to know

Questions we get asked a lot

A few of the things people want to know before they book. There are plenty more on the FAQ page.

Do you cover all of Edmonton — N9 and N18?

Yes. We work right across Edmonton — Edmonton Green and Lower Edmonton in N9, Upper Edmonton and Angel Edmonton in N18, and out to Bush Hill Park on the Enfield side. If you’re moving within the area or leaving it, we can help.

Can you move a flat above the shops on Fore Street?

That’s a lot of what we do. Flats above the shops on Fore Street and Silver Street usually mean stairs, no lift and a busy road outside. We plan the parking and the carry beforehand so the day itself is calm, not a scramble.

Do you do small man-and-van jobs as well as full house moves?

Both. A single wardrobe across Edmonton, a studio flat, or a whole four-bed house — we scope the job to what you’ve actually got rather than pushing you towards a bigger van than you need.

How do I get a price?

Fill in the quote form with your addresses and a rough idea of what’s moving, or call us. For anything larger than a room or two we’ll usually arrange a quick look — in person or over video — so the quote is accurate rather than a guess.
