The things people ask before they book
Grouped by the kind of move you’re planning. If your question isn’t here, just ask — we’d rather give you a straight answer than leave you guessing.
Moving around Edmonton
Which parts of Edmonton do you cover?
All of it. Edmonton Green and Lower Edmonton (N9), Upper Edmonton and Angel Edmonton (N18), and the quieter streets of Bush Hill Park towards Enfield. We also move people to and from the areas that border us — Tottenham, Ponders End, Enfield and Walthamstow.
My street is narrow and parking is tight — is that a problem?
It’s normal around here, so no. The terraces off Hertford Road and the roads either side of Fore Street rarely have easy parking. We check access before the day, get the lorry as close as the road allows, and where there’s a red route we arrange a loading window rather than risk a ticket or a blocked road.
Can you move a flat that’s above a shop, with no lift?
Yes — it’s one of the most common jobs in Edmonton. Flats above the parades on Fore Street and Silver Street usually mean a staircase and a busy pavement below. We bring the right crew and equipment for a stair carry and keep the load moving without blocking the shopfront.
Do you move people out of the estates as well as the terraces?
We move from every kind of Edmonton home — Victorian terraces, post-war estates, purpose-built blocks and the flats above the shops. Estate moves often mean a longer carry from the parking to the door, which we plan for so it’s priced and timed properly.
Services and how we work
What’s the difference between man-and-van and a full house removal?
Man-and-van suits smaller jobs — a few items, a studio or a one-bed — usually with a driver and one mover. A full house removal brings a larger crew and lorry, packing if you want it, and a plan for a whole household. We’ll point you to whichever actually fits, not the pricier option.
Do you pack for me, or do I pack myself?
Either. Plenty of people pack their own boxes and have us do the furniture and the fragile bits; others hand the whole thing over. We can supply boxes and materials, pack a single tricky room like a kitchen, or wrap and box the entire house — your call.
Can you store my things if there’s a gap between moves?
Yes. If your dates don’t line up, we can store your belongings between collection and delivery so you’re not stuck. Tell us roughly how long and how much, and we’ll sort secure storage as part of the move.
Do you do office and business moves?
We do. Small businesses along Fore Street and around Angel Edmonton, offices, and shop or unit relocations — usually planned around your quietest hours so you’re back up and running quickly. We handle IT, desks, stock and the awkward heavy items.
Moving abroad from Edmonton
Do you really move people abroad, not just around London?
Yes. Alongside the local work, we run door-to-door international moves from Edmonton to France, Spain, Italy and Poland. We load in N9 or N18 and deliver to the address abroad, with the customs paperwork handled.
Why those four countries?
They’re the routes we run most from North London. France is the short crossing; Spain and Italy are the popular southern moves; and Poland reflects Edmonton’s large, long-settled Polish community, where moves in both directions are a steady part of what we do.
Do you handle the customs side after Brexit?
For France, Spain and Italy we prepare the inventory and customs entry so your goods travel as personal effects rather than a commercial shipment, and we manage the transit. Poland is in the EU but still needs the right paperwork, which we also prepare. You supply a few documents proving it’s a genuine home move; we do the rest.
Can I send just some furniture abroad rather than a whole house?
Yes — a part-load shares lorry space with other moves heading the same way, which keeps a long-distance move affordable. It’s common on the Spain, Italy and Poland routes especially. We scope it to exactly what you’re sending.
Quotes and booking
How do you work out the price?
It comes down to how much is moving, how far, and how easy the access is at both ends. There are no fixed shelf prices — a stair carry from a Fore Street flat is different from a ground-floor terrace. For anything bigger than a room or two we’ll arrange a quick survey so the quote is accurate.
Is the quote free and without obligation?
Yes. Getting a quote costs nothing and doesn’t commit you to anything. Fill in the form or call, and we’ll come back to you to talk the move through.
How far ahead should I book?
The sooner the better, especially around month-end and weekends when demand is highest. That said, we do take shorter-notice jobs when we can — get in touch and we’ll tell you honestly what’s possible.
What areas near Edmonton do you also serve?
We regularly move people in the neighbouring areas — Tottenham (N15, N17), Enfield (EN1–EN3), Ponders End, Palmers Green (N13) and Walthamstow (E17). If you’re close to Edmonton and moving locally or abroad, ask and we’ll tell you.
Still got a question?
Send it over with a few details about your move and we’ll come back with an honest answer — and a quote if you want one.
